Transport information

Xrail services include international transport schedules, delay alerts and next-day-arrival messages.

Whereas in the past systematic international schedules and delay alerts did not exist, Xrail has developed an IT tool that closely monitors all Xrail transports by comparing the planned transport times against the actual wagon runs for a specific Origin/Destination (customer departure siding / customer arrival siding) all along the transportation route.

The partners automatically receive relevant information before, during and after the transport. In case of delay (meaning that the actual wagon run is behind its pre-defined schedule), the Xrail IT tool automatically alerts its partners and provides a new ETA (estimated time of arrival).

In addition to the delay alert message, the Xrail IT tool also provides a “next day arrival message”. This means that, each day, the Alliance partners receive information regarding which wagons will arrive the following day at the customer’s destination. Finally, customers can also track their international transports produced in the Xrail system via the Alliance’s track & trace tool.
